Austin Professional Organizers Achieve Distinguished Industry Certifications

Austin, TX (PRWEB) May 31, 2007 -- Two Professional Organizers from Central Texas' leading organizing services company, LivingOrder, were among the first in the organizing industry and in the state of Texas to receive the Certified Professional Organizer (CPO®) designation. Lorie Marrero, Chief Executive Organizer, and Yvette Clay both achieved the certification, which required a minimum number of paid working hours and experience and a written examination which was administered at the NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers) annual conference in April in Minneapolis.

"We are very proud that three of our team members were able to qualify for this exam, and that two of us were able to attend the first examination in Minneapolis," Marrero said. This was the inaugural examination given by the Board of Certification of Professional Organizers (BCPO), the certifying body whose charter is to increase professionalism in the organizing industry.

LivingOrder provides organizing services in person to the Austin and San Antonio metro areas, and they provide online help from anywhere with The Clutter Diet, their innovative membership-based website, at www.clutterdiet.com. Their team helps clients save time and get more done in their homes, home offices, and small businesses, providing hands-on help and consulting to tame unruly spaces. LivingOrder has been seen on HGTV and in major national magazines such as Woman's Day, and the company is one of only a small percentage of companies in the organizing industry to have grown beyond a one-person operation. Owner & CEO Lorie Marrero started organizing professionally in the year 2000, since serving as President of Central Texas Organizers and as a featured speaker and trainer at several National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) Conferences. Yvette Clay is the current President of the NAPO-Austin chapter.
